More Colorways of The Nike Air Penny 2 Coming In 2016

black blue air nike 2 2016

Earlier this Summer we were hit with the news that the Nike Air Penny 2 was going to be making a return in 2016 in the ā€œAtlantic Blueā€ and ā€œMiami Heatā€ colorways.

Now we can add two more colorways to the 2016 list. One will be the return of the OG ā€œHomeā€ white-based colorway that features slight hits of blue and black throughout. The other will be a new black and blue rendition that looks like it could be an homage to the Magic or Pennyā€™s Memphis Tigers. Both of these new offerings are expected to drop in early 2016, but weā€™ll give you a more concrete release date as 2016 nears closer and closer. – KicksOnFire

New 2015 Nike Air Mag Picture Leaked?

nike-mag-marty-mcfly(1)

No, this isn’tĀ theĀ 2015 Nike Air MagĀ release satisfying the prophecy fromĀ Back to the Future II.

The image, which originates from the tweet below, has picked up steam on the Internet anyway, as some read the accompanying caption as a promise of aĀ Nike MAGĀ release date. The source, Max Erdenberger, formerly worked as an art director at Wieden+Kennedy, the ad agency behind many legendary Nike campaigns, which caused some outlets to speculate that he had inside info on the upcoming release.

Sole Collector reached out to Erdenberger, who confirmed that this is not the upcoming pair. Erdenberger also said that he has “nothing to report” on a possible Oct. 21 release date for the shoe.

He said he got the idea of posting the shoes while watching today’s Apple Keynote 2015 event and wondering to himself what else was going to happen for the remainder of the year.

The date mentioned is the same date in the futureĀ thatĀ Marty McFlyĀ arrives on inĀ Back to the Future II, so it’s possible the shoes will release then after all.Ā Don’t be surprised if Nike does decide to launch the shoes thenĀ but, for now, nothing is confirmed. – SoleCollector

Nike Announces New Release System Called Nike Launch Drawings

nikestore-online-raffles

Nikestore is tweaking the way it releases sneakers online once more, presumably in an effort to make things fairer and defeatĀ sneaker bots.

Its latest system for launches, announced Tuesday night, is much likeĀ the online raffle announced for in-store releasesĀ a few months back. The difference now is the new landing page forĀ Nike Launch Drawings, as they’re called, says the system extends to online purchases as well.

Users who win a drawingĀ canĀ pick up the sneakersĀ in-store or have them shipped directly from Nike by purchasing them online on launch day. The upside of this sort of online raffle is it doesn’t care about the speed of entry, unlike Nike’s old Twitter RSVP system that was compromised by bots and has since been retired. It also gives an opportunity to users who don’t live close to a Nike location.

It’s BACK: Nike Air Foamposite Pro Red/Black

Expect 2016 to be huge forĀ Foamposites. After finally returning to form that mimics years when the futuristic hoops silhouette reigned, many of the past iterations that made the shoe the transcendent style it is today are returning next calendar year.

Alongside theĀ PearlsĀ andĀ Dr. Dooms, theĀ Nike Air Foamposite Pro Red/BlackĀ is also making its way back to retailers. First debuting back in 2001, the shoe will return after a decade and a half long hiatus. –Ā NiceKicks
